studios

ARTHAUS offers five purpose-built studios inside a shared warehouse in the lawson industrial area, designed specifically for artists and creative practitioners working across a wide range of disciplines. these are robust, functional workspaces where noise, mess, and experimentation are encouraged.each studio is fully enclosed and lockable, with plywood-lined walls, concrete floors, and double-glazed windows facing into the warehouse. all spaces are equipped with overhead led batten lighting, generous power access including 20a three-phase outlets (medium and large studios), and ceiling gpos for custom lighting or equipment.studios range in size to accommodate different needs.

workshops

ARTHAUS is hosting a curated series of workshops led by industry leaders working at the edges of technology-based practices and experimental art forms. from modular synthesis and projection mapping to niche fabrication methods and conceptual development, these sessions are designed to support deep engagement and hands-on learning across disciplines. the space is built for practical use, with the flexibility to accommodate immersive, loud, or equipment-heavy formats.

venue

ARTHAUS offers one of the most distinctive and forward-leaning spaces for performance, exhibition, and creative industry events in the blue mountains. the space has been carefully shaped by artists and technicians to support high-impact experiences, with a state-of-the-art pa by EZ Audio, a modular and ever-evolving lighting installation by SIRC_UIT, and access to a full inventory of leads, cables, mic stands and staging infrastructure.ARTHAUS is regularly used as a venue by SIRC_UIT for their INSEQUENCE and HIER event series and has previously hosted events by Retro Rehash, MTNS MADE and MMINC.the venue is best suited for one-off events that push boundaries in sound, visual culture, or experimental presentation, and is available to hire through a selective expression of interest process.

ARTHAUS is operating within the Country of the Dharug and Gundungurra peoples and we are acknowledging them as Traditional Owners.
We are mindful that within and without the buildings, the Land always was and always will be Aboriginal Land. We are paying our respects to their Elders, past, present and future.

in a time when intolerance is too often given a platform, ARTHAUS stands firm as a safe space for women, queer people, and anyone pursuing their work with openness and integrity. first nations peoples and all cultural backgrounds are encouraged and welcome.
discrimination, harassment, or bigotry of any kind are not welcome here and won’t be tolerated.
we support practices that centre care, reciprocity, innovation, political engagement, and sustainability and welcome those working to imagine new ways of living, making, and being together.we’re here to create space for artists, communities, and ideas that don’t fit inside dominant systems.
